Introduction
Syphilis Ab Test casstte is used to detect the treponema pallidum antibody in serum/ plasma/whole blood qualitatively.
Syphilis is a kind of chronic infectious disease that is caused by treponema pallidum (TP), mainly spread through direct sexual contact. TP can also transmitted to the next generation through the placenta, which will lead to stillbirth, premature birth and congenital syphilis babies. The incubation period of TP is 9-90 days, with an average of 3 weeks. The incidence is usually 2-4 weeks after syphilis infection. Nonspecific lipid antigen antibody and specific antibodies of the syphilis antigen occurs in 4-10 weeks after the infection. In normal infection, TP-IgM can be detected at first and disappear after effective treatment, while TP-IgG can be detected later after the appearance of IgM, and can exist for a long time. The detection of TP infection is still one of the bases for clinical diagnosis so far. Detection of TP antibody is a great significance for preventing the spread of TP, the treatment of TP infection.
